Interviews with established figures in the music world have allowed us the opportunity to meet many remarkable artists. Each encounter feels like a new chapter - like adding a piece to a puzzle. Musical narratives are taking us to places that resonate deeply within our hearts. With time, exploring the music industry can make one feel like they've hit an invisible wall in a game: you've seen the whole map and there's nowhere else to go.
This interview felt like unlocking a new location, something that has yet to be explored. We all felt the excitement in the studio at the possibility of discovering something new. The story we uncovered was inspiring and we’re sure that you too, will be interested in the combination of sincerity and modesty offered in one person. Although many might not need the introduction at all, the person we would like introduce is Ron Wasserman.
Currently based in LA, he has composed scores for over 3,300 episodes of television series and animation, including Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Marvels X-Men the Animated series, and Dragon Ball Z. All are still relevant and loved today by many. In addition to the series, Ron has also created scores for games such as Monty Python, Ace Ventura, and New Terra. Ron was also a member of the band Fisher, where he learnt a lot about lyrical composition.
Throughout the years, Ron has been honoured with the prestigious ASCAP award 6 times for his work on Hot in Cleveland, SpongeBob Squarepants and The Thundermans. His first big break came with the success of his “Go Go Power Rangers” theme for the Fox Network Power Rangers series.

In the interview, he told us,
“I’m proud of myself for working my way out of poverty. You run into people who help you by giving you work, or take you in, but I’m self made. There is no musical talent in my family, there is no connections, there is no friends of the family that had to do anything with the business. So, I’m pleased and I’m happy that I never bought in to the ego part of it at all – ever.”
Listen to our interview to find out more about how Ron started out in the musical business, what challenges he’s faced and overcame, or what he plans to do next!
" No matter what goes on, you are part of the project. They hired you, but nothing you ever do is precious."
