Andrew Lockington is a Canadian composer, known for the epic scale of the blockbuster films he’s worked on. He has composed scores for films and television series, including Journey to the Center of the Earth, City of Ember, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, San Andreas, The Space Between Us, Rampage, The Kindness Of Strangers, Mayor of Kingstown, Special Ops: Lioness and more.
Andrew’s work goes far beyond the world of film and entertainment. Our talk with him taught us a lot about that. Whether it’s his way of finding the authentic sounds he has used in his scores, collaborations with others, or impact of AI on music and visual art.
Andrew chooses projects that deliver powerful messages and impactful stories, all of which are highly relevant today such as his most recent project Atlas with Jennifer Lopez, where humanity’s only hope of saving the future from AI is to trust it.
With that said, we hope that you will enjoy this new interview.
“Find the joy in what you doing, pursue that in life, because those are the things other people respond to.”
