Kevin Sargent is a British composer and multi-instrumentalist best known for his work in film and television, who began his career as a drummer, percussionist and keyboardist with cult dance/rock pioneers Thrashing Doves.
Kevin was nominated for a BAFTA for his work on the Emmy-winning series The Hour (BBC/Kudos) and an Ivor Novello Award for A Waste of Shame: The Mystery of Shakespeare and His Sonnets (BBC TV). Some of his most recent and renown works being The Beaker Girls, My Mum Tracy Beaker, Katy, The Wrong Mans, We’ll Take Manhattan, Ballet Shoes and many others.
His work in commercials has won several awards including D&AD Gold Pencil and Creative Circle Golds for Barclays, and British Advertising Craft Award Best Music nomination for Adidas. Other brands include, Patek Philippe, Harrods, Tropicana, Penfolds, Financial Times and Sony PlayStation.
The Guinness Christmas commercial featuring his music has been a much-loved staple of the Irish seasonal festivities for almost twenty years now.
